World Hypnotism Day
Albany’s First Friday,
January 4, 2008, 5:00Pm – 9:00PM, 217 Lark St., Albany, NY
Capital Region Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists
will offer Free Hypnosis presentations.

Friday, January 4, 2008 is the fourth annual World Hypnotism Day.
On this day hypnotists, all over the world, bring to the public,
knowledge of this wonderful, powerful, often misunderstood modality.

Hypnosis, a form of relaxed, focused concentration, has also been
used for weight management, motivation, stress reduction, past life
exploration,
and to improve self esteem.

It allows access to the subconscious part of the mind that controls the
body’s autonomic nervous system.  This system controls: heart rate,
digestion, respiration rate, and the “fight or flight response”.
The subconscious also stores all our memories, our beliefs, and our
self-image.  Working with the subconscious, through hypnosis, can
promote healthy, long lasting change.

What do the American Medical Association and the tobacco industry
have in common?
They both endorse a behavior modification program as a successful
component of a program to stop smoking.
In fact, the AMA has approved hypnosis as an effective adjunctive
therapy, it is at the top of their list as a behavior modification
methodology.

The Capital Region Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists will
be offering presentations and demonstrations of hypnosis during
Albany’s 1st Friday celebrations on
Friday, January 4, 2008 from
5:00PM – 9:00PM at 217 Lark St, Albany.
