To recap our May CRCNGH Chapter meeting:
May's CRCNGH meeting included officer elections, 2008 dues, and exploration of a
wonderful dual-induction metaphor script that the Chapter is planning to record for
distribution on this website and at the NGH Convention in August.
We elected 2008 officers, Barbara Davison, President, James Hislop, Vice-President,
Jean Starr Executive Secretary (Jerome Pindell and James Hislop volunteering for first
three months service), Rosemarie Valpone Treasurer, George Guarino Media, Marketing
and Web Development Management.
We all acknowledged ANNE LANOUE's dedication and powerful leadership as 2007
Executive Secretary. Her dedication to the Chapter and selfless giving of time and
energies were honored and appreciated as this organization moves forward.
Thank you Anne !
At the meeting, Shannon Keyes, Jerome Pindell, Hank Linett, Carol Fagan, Teri Raskoski,
Barbara Stevens, Barbara Davison, George Guarino re-joined the Chapter for 2008...
during the month others are expected to re-join.
We spent the second half of the meeting reading and discussing a wonderful
dual-induction script entitled "Transformation: Flower, Butterfly and Polar Bear" . As we
completed the reading we knew that we needed to record this for others to experience.
We decided to research recording the script with mulitple Chapter member voices at a
professional recording studio. The recording is planned to be pressed onto CD and
distributed on our website and via CD at the NGH convention. Recording cost/time
findings and rehearsal will take place at the June CRCNGH meeting.
Our next meeting is Thursday, June 19, 2008, 6:30pm, 6 Executive Park Drive, Albany.

Revised June 10, 2008

The temp was a crisp 24 degrees. the soup was abundant and hot, and the atmosphere was brimming with
interest for hypnosis and art. The Capital Region Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists presented
demonstrations and answered questions and generally talked up hypnosis and its benefits. The Albany
Lark Street BID was very generous in providing us with a multi-room space side by side with an art exhibit
and live music. Albany's First Friday Art crowd drifted in and around our space, inquisitive and excited. Many
had stories to tell and questions to ask. Others just enjoyed our soup (Barbara provided 3 types along with
hot apple cider, yum.) Everything went better than we could have even hoped... people are very interested in
hypnosis. World Hypnotism Day in Albany NY was a wonderful success.
Special thanks to Barbara Stevens whose promotional work got us attention on Capital News 9 TV and in the
Schenectady Gazette. Ann Lanoue's soup idea was a hit on this chilly night. The aroma alone caused ooh's
and aah's throughout the night and the soup tasted mighty fine also. Barbara Davison was the champion of
organization and set up, providing tables, chairs, crockpots, pens, etc, etc, etc and set it all up from early
afternoon until all was cleaned up at night. A great effort by all.
